Get rid of unwanted electrical appliances for free and earn sports equipment.
Project AIM
To teach children and young people that e-waste is a specific type of waste consisting of materials that can be recycled and reused to produce raw materials or new products.
HOW to get involved?
- gather old and non-functional electrical appliances from your school in one place
- send an electronic request for e-waste disposal
- wait for a notification email with the exact collection date
- on the day of collection, load the e-waste into the provided vehicle
WHAT will you get?
We will send you various sports equipment according to the amount of e-waste handed over in a single collection – find out more here: REWARDS FOR SCHOOLS
WHEN can you hand over the e-waste?
Throughout the whole year 2026.
WHO can get involved?
All schools and educational institutions across the whole territory of Slovakia:
- kindergartens
- primary and secondary schools
- universities
- primary art schools
- language schools
- school dormitories
- re-educational facilities
- children´s homes and boarding schools
- leisure centres
- other institutions providing education and upbringing for children and young people
WHY collect withus?
- free e-waste disposal directly from your premises
- we will issue a confirmation for asset depreciation and accounting purposes*
- you will get sports equipment according to the collected amount
- in addition, we will pack a series of audio recordings “Let’s not throw everything into one bag” about correct municipal waste sorting, which you can use in eco-education or school radio
- you will receive a Green Certificate including a logo**, (you can place it on your website) confirming your active approach to environmental protection
- you protect the environment and save mineral resources – the e-waste you hand over to us will not end up in landfills, but in recycling plants, where secondary raw materials will be made from it
*If the electrical appliances are registered in the organisation’s assets, when disposing of them, it is also necessary to think about a confirmation of recycling for asset depreciation and accounting purposes. A confirmation issued by an organisation authorised to collect and dispose of e-waste may be required from you by a potential inspection from state authorities. The Producer Responsibility Organisation SEWA will issue you a document confirmed by the processor and arrange the e-waste collection to a recycling centre or to the processor free of charge.
**All entities that hand over e-waste to us during the year 2026 will receive a Green Certificate and a logo by the end of April 2027 at the latest.
The project “Exchange e-waste for balls!” in numbers (2014 – 2025)
- 1,497 schools and educational institutions handed over e-waste
